Summary
I noticed in the Asse Publisher "How it works" (So funktioniert es) that you cannot set the link target when you use the link field.
This also should be added for any structure and template with a link field.
So you can decide and make external links open in a new tab.
The Asset Publisher as used on this page:

1. Extend the structure and add a drop-down for "Link Target"
1.a. Default value = _self
1.b. New tab = _blank
1.c. Same tab = _self
2. Edit the template and add the link target to the link if this field is used.
This is for all (German) Arena customers, DemoDE and EducationDE.
But I think this is a useful change for all Arena customers.
